My name is Tim Peters and I was fortunate enough to get to spend time with Gerry while he was in Prince George. We both share a love for motorcycles and riding as a matter of fact he gave me his Blue Knights motorcycle club colours as I was a new member of the Blue Knights which is a Peace Officers biking group. I remember talking for hours about riding, the friendships, the scenery and the different type of motorcycles that are out there now.
I was also very lucky to work for him at the Prince George Youth Containment Centre and sought his guidance many times as his depth of knowledge and compassion seemed boundless.
We were very sad when he left PGYCC even though we knew this was just another chapter in Mr. Miller's life story. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing, he was one of my mentors and a down to earth real person. I regret hearing about his passing this late as several of us would have come down to attend his funeral as he made a positive lasting impression on many of us here at PGYCC.
