Obituary of Olga Isobel Vickers

(nee Herman)

1925 - 2010

It is with great sorrow that the family of Olga Isobel Vickers announces her passing on Friday, December 17, 2010 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook at 85 years of age.

Olga was born on April 15, 1925 in Yahk, British Columbia. She was raised on the family farm in Yahk and moved to Marysville, British Columbia in 1951 where she and her husband Edward raised their family.

Olga is survived by her daughter Susan Vickers, her son Terry Vickers, her son Ken (Linda) Vickers and her daughter Cathy Vickers. She also leaves behind her grandchildren John Vickers, Larry Vickers, Rick (Erica) Vickers, Angela Vickers (Rick Canada), Jamie Vickers and Jennifer Vickers (Chris Dean); as well as her great grandchildren Zachary Dean, Gavin Vickers, Zander Dean and Elizabeth Vickers. Olga was predeceased by her mother Emily Herman, previously known as Emily Shaw (nee Emily Whitehouse), her father Emil Herman, her husband Edward Louis Vickers, her brother Tom Shaw, her sister Isobel Elgert and her granddaughter Elizabeth Vickers.

Olga's Interment and memorial service will be held at a later date.
