Obituary of Alexis Stedroy Francis

1947 – 2021

 

It is with great sadness that the family of Alex Francis announce his passing on May 3, 2021. Alex passed away peacefully with his beloved wife by his side and their faith has seen them through.

 

Alex was born in Antigua, West Indies on March 8, 1947 and moved to Canada in 1995 to marry Yvonne Marie. They spent their time together bowling, golfing, and traveling the world. Alex will be missed dearly.

 

Alex is survived by his son and three grand children in Antigua, three sisters in the United States and three step-children and eight step-grandchildren in Canada. He was predeceased by his mother, his daughter and three sisters.

 

The family would like to thank the staff of the East Kootenay Regional Hospital for their excellent care and compassion during this difficult time.

 

At Alex’s request, a funeral service will not be held. A family celebration will take place at a later date.
