I deeply regret visiting him so late. I was a student who learned Timber Framing from him back in 2016. Though belated, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family. He was one of the most remarkable individuals I've ever met in my life. Not being able to meet him in person remains a profound regret. Rest in peace, Joe. - Wonsang Lee (from South Korea) -

We will always remember Joe for his wicked sense of humor, his endless generosity and his deep love for his family. His relationship with wood and his willingness to share that knowledge with us made it possible for us to cut our own timbers for our home. A legacy of his.....among so very many. I still spin my head around whenever I see a mill on a property. We came to appreciate the beauty in a piece of wood and marvel at how it can change from a log to an element of a home....our home. Thank you Joe for being you. There is no one like you and we will miss you very much.
