Dianne, Stephanie, Lindsay, Liz, Ellen and Eileen. Our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Gord. Gord was a kind caring man and had the best smile and laugh. We remember him not only from our visits to Columbia Lake but also SunBum Sports, Fortress, and Ghost Lake. He will be truly missed.

To Dianne and family, my sincere sympathies. I only had the privilege of working with Gord at Osborne for a short time, but what an amazing colleague and supporter. He will indeed be missed.

Gord was truly one of “the good guys”...he touched the lives of so many with his kind soul, sense of humour and pragmatic advice. He will be greatly missed and I am so thankful for the many ways he contributed to who I am. Rest peacefully Gord... ~Sandy Cartney

Paul and I send our sympathies to Diane, Stephanie, Lindsay, Liz, Ellen, Eileen and all the family. Gord's family was the first family we met in Columere. The girls were winter racing back then and the hours of water skiing was a morning delight, in the calm waters of Columbia Lake. As a pillar of the community, he truly will be missed beyond words.

Cousin Gord was like the big brother I never had. Visiting Calgary often, he always took the time to talk with his little cousin from Edmonton. Why he took the time to take an interest in me.... was just part of knowing Gord. He sincerely cared about everyone, and if you knew him, he was a friend. His infectious smile and familiar laugh will be missed, but always remembered.
He was a prince of a guy..... just ask anyone.
Our sincere condolences to Dianne, Liz, Ellen, Eileen and the whole Forbes family.

This is a very apt tribute. The Forbes family was a big part of my childhood. I wouldn't know how to water ski if weren't for Gord and crew. I am sad to hear of his passing but thrilled that his journey ended in his paradise on earth. Rhiannon Iuliani (nee Gough)
