Please share a memory of Calvin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Calvin Kasner, 85, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2021, with his daughter by his side in Cranbrook, B.C.
Calvin was born on December 12, 1935, in Lethbridge, Alberta to Edward and Inez Kasner. He came from a large family of eight siblings and spent the majority of his life farming in Coaldale, Alberta. Calvin met his wife Marlene in Coaldale where they raised their 4 children: Don (Dagny); Rod (Tracey); Garry (Leslie) and Karen (Kurt) and only recently moved to Cranbrook, B.C.
Calvin was a hard worker, and holidays were not common as a farmer, but when he could he enjoyed going fishing, especially salmon fishing on the west coast. Calvin was also an excellent storyteller and was always up for playing a game of crib or thirty-one.
Calvin is survived by seven of his siblings, Joyce Kasner; Elaine Berg (Art); Edith Block (Kusty); Linda Martens (Ed; Eva Harris (Joe); Ron Kasner (Cindy); and 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Calvin was predeceased by his wife, Marlene Kasner; two of his sisters: Sandra Pauls and Marilyn Pratt as well as brother in-laws Art Berg and Ken Pratt.
