Obituary of Rudolph Allan Johnson

January 21, 1935 – July 2, 2021

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Rudolph “Rudy” Allan Johnson, at the age of 86 on July 2, 2021, in Cranbrook, B.C.

Rudy was a big Swede, with an infectious jovial laugh that could be heard for blocks. Even if a joke wasn’t funny, he’d laugh, which in turn made everyone laugh! He was an extraordinary father, a deeply kind soul, an avid fisherman, and his hunting skills were, well… “sometimes!”

Rudy was well known in the world of heavy equipment operators, himself being a highly regarded career Dozer Operator.

He is survived by his eldest son, Allan Johnson, his eldest daughter Sharri Johnson, John Johnson, Myron Johnson, his youngest daughter Victoria Wheadon, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at the F.W Green Home for their love and efforts in caring for our father. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family, and all the lives he touched.

In honouring Rudy’s request, there will be no services.
