1937 – 2021
It is with great sadness we the family announce the passing of Richard, July 25, 2021, in Joseph Creek Village at the age of 84 years.
Richard “Dick” was born in Fernie, B.C. on July 9th, 1937. He worked for North Star Motors in Cranbrook, B.C., for 34 years and he felt as though they were his extended family. Dick loved fishing, camping, skiing, curling, bowling, golf, and anything to do with automobiles.
Dick will be fondly remembered for his kindness and devotion to his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Diane and daughter Cheryl (Rod); grandchildren Justin (Alex), and Lauren. Dick is also survived by his sister Anne McKay; nephew David White (Lisa) and brother Jim Pennington (Judy); nephew’s Neil (Mary), Brent (Michael), Wade (Katie), and Tyler (Alysha); and brother-in-law’s Don Grady; nephew’s Bruce and Gerry (Jan) and family; Vaughan Grady (Shirley); niece Melanie Hamper (Doug) and family.
