Obituary of Allan Raymond Johnson

January 23, 1939 - November 23, 2020

 

We remember the sudden passing of Allan “Al” Johnson last November 23, 2020. Allan was a long-time resident of Jaffray, B.C., in his youth. Son of Fritz and Madeline Johnson, elder brother to Judy and Joyce.

 

Allan joined the Canadian Armed Forces in April 1958, retiring in December 1981. Allan was then a short and long-haul trucker driver until his retirement. Allan and his wife, Emily, returned to Cranbrook in June 2002.

 

Allan and Emily married in Cranbrook on April 6, 1963. Sadly, Emily passed on January 21, 2019. They are survived by their only son Bob.

 

Allan was a special kind, honest, and generous person. He provided exceptional care and comfort to Emily in her final years.

 

They are both greatly missed by family, friends in Cranbrook, the East Kootenays, and beyond.
