Obituary of Wendy Elizabeth Wood

It is with profound sadness that the family of Wendy Wood announces her passing on Thursday, January 13th at the age of 48 years after a brave struggle with cancer. Loving wife of Carson Damm and adoring mother of Bronwyn and Emma. Also survived by her parents Sydney and Frances Wood, sister Lindsay, Tony and Reily Blackner, brother Sydney, Barbara and Evan Wood, in-laws Sue and Bill Damm, Peni Brook, brothers-in-law Ben Damm and Lucas Damm.
Wendy graduated from the University of Guelph in 1985 with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Her work took her to the Yukon as a project manager for Parks Canada on the Chilkoot Trail, Fort McMurray as a development officer and finally to the wonderful supportive community of Cranbrook where she worked as a city planner.
Her family would like to thank Dr. O'Brien and Val Paolini for their unstinting care and compassion.
A memorial and celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, January 19th at 10:00 a.m., at Christ Church Anglican in Cranbrook, BC. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Friends of Fort Steele Society in the memory of Wendy Wood. (985 - Hwy 93/95, Fort Steele, BC, V0B 1N0).
