Obituary of Fred Skopnik

1930 - 2011

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Fred Skopnik announces his passing on Saturday, January 15, 2011 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 80 years of age.

Fred was born on April 8, 1930 in Invermere, British Columbia and is survived by his sons: Gordon (Sharon) and Brian; 6 grandchildren: Bryan, Dawn, Ashlyn, Alyssa, Dustin and Dylan; step-son: Eugene (Shirley) Mooy; brothers and sisters: Edith, Lorne, Joan and Elaine as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian.

A celebration of life service for Fred will take place in the reception room of McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Fred may do so to the Impact Sudan Program - www.iteams.ca (Ph: 519-669-8844).
