Obituary of Thomas Oliver Clarricoates

Thomas "Tom" Oliver Clarricoates was born in Meadowbrook on August 8, 1938, the first of 5 children. He has one brother (James, of Cranbrook) and one sister (Marie, of Quesnel) still living along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

 

When he was 16 Tom started working at Pine Butte Ranch in Wycliffe with Ray and Mae Van Steinburg. He worked there for his entire life caring for animals and the land as part of the Pine Butte family. 

 

Tom loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed doing these things every summer. He competed in the Senior Olympics a few times and often took medals for playing Horseshoes. He was also a great crib player. Tom was a kind man with a ready smile that will be missed by all who knew him.
