Uncle Joe, Cathy and John,
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more look, we may not understand why she left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she died, but that she LIVED. And that her life gave us memories that will be with us forever.
My fondest memory of Auntie is the blankets(quilts)she made for my four children when they were infants. When my eldest was born(33),auntie made one for her,14 years later when I had my second child,I asked auntie to make her one,and the same for the other two as they were born.They still have them these many years later,although they are worn and little tattered now. My children always knew how special they were, as was the lady who made them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her
