Obituary of Kim Margaret Leona Kostiuk

Please share a memory of Kim to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

October 5, 1968 - January 31, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter, sister and aunt, Kim Kostiuk.

Kim was born to Brian and Linda Kostiuk October 5, 1968. She grew up in Cranbrook where she made many friends.  Kim always had a deep faith in God even as a young child.  Kim truly loved our Lord and shared her faith with many people.  She was active in her youth group and chose to go to bible school in Kelowna after she graduated from Mount Baker Secondary in June 1986.  Kim went on a Bible mission to Guatemala and shared the stories of her many adventures when she returned home.  She worked at McDonalds restaurant for many years and was proud to be promoted to a crew shift supervisor position.

Kim never had children of her own but she had great joy in her eight nieces and nephews.  She was always everyone’s biggest cheerleader and proud of everyone in the family.  Kim enjoyed watching her nephews play hockey and enjoyed many nights of watching wrestling with her mother.  Kim was a quiet person and enjoyed the simple comforts of life, which were home and family.

Kim was predeceased by her grandparents George Kostiuk, Leona Cornelly , Hans and Margaret Brehm. Uncles Bim Brehm, Pete Brehm, Myron Ballard, Ken Scanland and Aunt Rosanne Ballard.

Kim leaves to mourn her parents Brian and Linda Kostiuk, brothers, and sisters Ken & Toni Kostiuk (Todd & Maria, Lucan & Jade - Tyler & Theresa, Charles & Jacob, Chris & Allison, - Harvey and Alex, Kayla & Steve Pannell - Jackson & Bennett) Sheri Kostiuk & Larry Lindsay (Dave & Wanda Cavelle- Bo & Jodi, nephew Shaun, Shelsee & Bob Holbrook,) brother Kevin and Dom & Karolyn Fruncillo (Joel & Jazzelle, Krista & Trevor Rosevear). Her aunts Joan Scanland, Delores Hicks, Jean Brehm and Uncle Kym Kostiuk as well as her many cousins from both Kelowna and Cranbrook.  Kim will be missed by her close friends Dustin, Sharon, and Lee.
