I was so very sad to just read that Ruth passed away. We were in the Girls Bugle Band together and she was the manager of our basketball team in high school. She had the kindest heart, after our last high school reunion she invited me out to their place for a coffee and look around. I spotted an old gas tank, for lack of a better word, my brother in law collected them and refinished them and he has it in his garage now, all finished and looking brand new. I really enjoyed Ruth’s honesty and pure of heart personality. She will be missed.

Soon I'll be sowing "Ruth's Red Poppy" seeds around my garden, as she did when I moved next door 17 years ago. Again this year, Ruth's flowers will bring joy to the neighbourhood, to family and friends. Your smile, laughter, hugs...and your flowers...will be with us always, Ruth. We miss you. Bob & Laurie. Photo taken the day our new modular home arrived (July, 2009). Ross & Ruth helped us "supervise" & celebrate!

Ruth did a very special favor (anonymously) for us many years ago that changed our lives, and we will be eternally grateful. We are so sorry for her struggles through the last while, and pray that she will rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. I have known her for many years starting with her time working at Millar & Brown back in the sixties. We always got along and she loved to give you a big hug when you greeted her. I last talked to her on the third floor at the EK Regional Hospital and although she was struggling she remembered me. My condolences go to Ross and his family. I will miss those hugs . Take care and rest In peace Ruth, you were a very nice person and will be missed by many.
