I was saddened to learn of Ray's passing. We first met and became friends in grade 2 at Blarchmont Elementary School, when my family moved from the Happy Valley area in Kimberley to Chapman Street in Lower Blarchmont. We used to sing together in the school hallway and for some long forgotten reason decided to sing Bing Crosby's "In the Cool Cool Cool of the Evening" until everyone, including the teachers, became annoyed (for those interested, this is the YouTube link to the song: https://youtu.be/di33pVj5CpM). I left Kimberley in the early '60s and would see Ray on occasional trips home. On those times we did meet, we always laughed about our short singing career! Great memories of a very nice man. We are heart broken at the loss of our dear Uncle and little brother. This is when we wish we lived closer but Ray will be in our heart's forever, many many warm and wonderful memories.
