Obituary of Kevin Murray Amy
Please share a memory of Kevin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kevin was born and raised in Kimberley, BC and moved to Calgary, AB to pursue a successful career in Oil and Gas where he made countless friendships and connections that he maintained throughout his life and was always thankful for. He moved back to Kimberley after starting his own family to raise them in a community he loved and was proud of. He was loyal to his soil. He passed away peacefully at home in Marysville, surrounded by many of the people he loved most.
Kevin was a man who had life all figured out. He put family first, no matter what. No matter the place or time, he always made space for everyone. Although Kevin was taken from us all far too early, he packed more memories, accomplishments and good times into those years than anyone could dream of.
He was a selfless man, who swore that the most important thing in life is to have fun. He touched so many people over the years and if you ever met him, you would never forget him. His support was sometimes perceived as tough love, but it always came from the deepest place in his heart. Kevin was the definition of self made, everything he did he gave 100% and saw it through to the end. From building a family who loves and cares for one another, to building an entire community for generations to come.
To most he was Kev, Curve Ball, Uncle Ken, or a prick, but to us he was Dad. The man who always made everything happen, the pull through guy, the guy we could always trust. We all wish we could have him back, but as Dad would say "wish in one hand, shit in the other, see which one fills up faster."
Rest easy, Dad, see you on the other side.
