It is with deep sorrow that the family of Adeline Peltzer announces her passing on Friday October 14, 2022, she was 90 years of age. She died peacefully in her sleep where she lived in Kimberley at (The Pines).
Adeline was born on her family farm near Kelstern, Sask. She moved to Creston B.C at the age of 15 living with her aunt and uncle, she had a job babysitting and that is where she met Victor as Adeline was babysitting his nephews. Adeline and Vick were inseparable and married a year after meeting on September 11, 1948, they were married for 68 years. Soon after they were married, they moved to Kimberley in the Lois creek area where Victor worked at the Sullivan Mine. They had a little boy in 1949 who was born at 7 months gestation and only lived a day. After having fertility problems, they were able to adopt their children Judy and Garry to start their family.
Adeline stayed home to raise her children and keep the household which she loved. At home she tended a large garden of vegetables and flowers and preserved much of her produce for her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, and wine making. She was a natural homemaker sewing and knitting clothes and blankets for her family. Adeline was active in the community and church throughout her life. She enjoyed keeping busy where she bowled, floor curled, played cards, and danced. She was a part of the good Sam’s Club where her and Victor did lots of camping. She drove across Canada in a camper van with Vick, where she was the main driver never fearing taking on things like that, she just did it! Camping was a full family event where she loved to camp with her grandchildren, they would take turns sleeping in their motorhome. Adeline loved her grandchildren they brought her so much joy. She loved to knit them special sweaters that they picked out of her pattern books. Adeline and Vick also had a special tradition of taking each grandchild out for their birthdays where they would do dinner and shop for their perfect present.
