Obituary of Connie MacKenzie

It is with a heavy heart, we share the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Connie MacKenzie.

Connie is pre-deceased by the love of her life, husband Gordon MacKenzie, son in-law Chris Oakland and grandson Bradley Tipper.

Mom was raised to be a home maker and that she was!!

Mom was an accomplished seamstress creating many cherished items of clothing, costumes and onesies just too name a few. She was also a prolific knitter, gifting her family sweaters, afghans, dish cloths as well as many special gifts or outfits for each and everyone of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to come home from the hospital with.

Mom created a home, where all were welcomed, friends and family. Her home became the gathering place for celebrations, holidays, BBQ’s and Sunday dinners, in which she cooked great feasts for all to share, to laugh to play a game of cards and create memories.

Mom enjoyed following the many adventures of her surviving children Tami Broughton (TJ), Neil MacKenzie (Michelle), Vickie Tipper (Todd) and Darcy MacKenzie (Bob). As well as surviving grandchildren Michael Oakland, Loni Nicholson (Pete), Corey Millner (Josh), Dawn Rhynold (Scott), Bryan MacKenzie (Danielle), Lauren Tipper, Taylor Assels and Brooke Assels. Last but not least her surviving great grandchildren Daijen, Grace, Cohen, Taelynn, Logan, Ryder, Corbin, Paisley, Lillian and Elliott.

Connie (Mom/Grandma/Memere/Moma/G-Mac) will be greatly missed by all.
