Obituary of Florence Gloria McKay

Florence Gloria McKay neé Britten

October 28, 1926 — November 11, 2022

 

Florence “Flo” was born and lived in Vancouver for over 85 years until she moved to Cranbrook, British Columbia in 2014. Flo was a very loyal employee of CIBC, having stayed on with the bank for 45 years.

She has 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Florence is survived by her sisters Evelyn Phillips and Patricia Walker, her daughters Noreen (John) Routhier, Cathryn (Douglas) Rodgers , Barbara (Miguel) Saavedra , her son Roderick Mark (Noreen) McKay, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Roderick Norris McKay (1977) as well as her siblings George, Harold, Stanley, Margaret McGuire, Robert, Betty Lloyd.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
