Our condolences to the Pelto family. Elmer and Vi lived two doors down from me on Howard Street. He was very helpful when the city would come by early in the morning and plow snow and block my car in the garage. I would go to shovel my car out before I could go to work, and Elmer would already be out there with Shado shoveling out my driveway. A true gentleman.
We visited Elmer and Vi before I moved south and had a few cocktails with them, and Elmer shared so many funny hockey stories with us, it kept Dave and I laughing for hours. He and Vi came to visit us in Florida and we thoroughly enjoyed their company and showing them around Fort Walton Beach. We will miss him, miss his stories and miss the way he laughed with that twinkle in his eyes.
