Obituary of Kevin Grant Evans

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Grant Evans on December 6, 2022 at the age of 63.

Kevin was born in Edmonton, Alberta and later moved to Fernie, British Columbia with his mother Ruth and step-dad Jim McHugh and his sisters, Cathy and Bonny in the early 70’s.

His most recent place of employment was Tembec where he worked as an equipment operator until he sustained back injuries in a fall in 2001.

Kevin was a warm, generous, and kind soul who loved to fish, camp, and quad. As a teenager he played hockey, but his favourite sport was hunting. He loved to hunt.

Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years; Linda, her children Carrie Lightburn (Marty) Devon and Brooke, Laura Koran (Tony) Rowen and his sister Bonny Farrell (Richard).

He was predeceased by his mother and stepfather and his sister Cathy.

At his request there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
