Obituary of George Owen McCrory

George passed away at home with his family in the early morning of December 27, 2022. He liked living on the edge, he had a zest for life. George was always looking for adventure and he often found it. He enjoyed beading, gardening, and watching Joe Kenda and his westerns. He also enjoyed going for a drive with Tim up to the top of the reserve for hunting or looking for firewood.

 

George is survived by his brother Jack and Sister Wanda, his children Julia (Tim), Shelly Collinson (Rob), Christina Desharnais (Rob), Madlin and Robin, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

George was predeceased by his parents William and Genevieve McCrory of Golden, brothers Rick, Jimmy and Bill McCrory, sisters Nancy, Edith and Mary as well as his best friend “One Eye Willy”.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
