Obituary of Ella Sarris
Please share a memory of Ella to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom and gramma Ella Sarris. We called her a cat with ninety nine lives as she just never quit. Finally at 97 her poor heart said enough. She lived in Cranbrook for the last 31 years and enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends and while she was able, just to get out and about. Sadly the last 13 years of her life was spent dealing with various health issues which did take away some of her joy, but she loved the mountains and the scenery out her living room window. The family would like to thank Interior Health all of the Home Support workers who spent many hours helping mom over the years. She was very fond of many of them and considered them friends. We would also like to thank with deep gratitude the staff at the hospital, the Commitment to Care team, and especially ER and Third Floor. Mom spent considerable time in both places, especially Third Floor over the last 13 years and we will be eternally grateful for all of the staff there who were professional and caring at the same time.
Ella is survived by; Jennifer Braun (daughter), Nick Sarris (son), Evie Michel (daughter) husband Ken, children Joshua Michel (Angela) Jaimie Zaitsoff (Corey) Son-in-law Michel Brouillette and daughter Amber Padua (Airies) and grandchildren Yuna, Melody and Rayna as well as her sisters Betty in Winkler Manitoba and Helen in Vancouver BC.
Ella was predeceased by her husband, Michael Sarris (June 15, 2007) and her daughter, Marlene Brouillette (July 29, 2018).
