Obituary of Karen Sonja King

Karen Sonja King, 68, passed away on February 26, 2023, in Cranbrook, British Columbia. She was born on March 19, 1954, in Lacombe, Alberta.

“This is not a good bye, my darling, this is a thank you. Thank you for coming into my life and giving me joy.”

Karen was an avid animal lover who enjoyed not only helping animals but was always giving a helping hand to anyone in need. Karen was made with a heart of gold. For anyone who knew her knew her vibrant personality. Karen will be greatly missed.

Karen is survived by her husband, Ed King, grandson Christopher Shail (Ashley), daughter/niece Barbie Torres (Joshua), great-niece Nadia Clowers (Amira), sisters Twyla Bokinac (Les) and Lorelei Fiddler, brother Robin Fiddler (Tracy), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Bertha Fiddler, and her son, Albert Torozzo.

A service in Karen's honor will be held on August 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm at 12-1920 2nd Street North, Cranbrook, British Columbia. Flowers may be dropped off at the same location.

Karen's loved ones will remember her with fondness and gratitude for the joy and love she brought to their lives. She may have left this world, but her spirit and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
