Obituary of Garry Wayne Wostradowski

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, dad, grandfather, brother and uncle, Garry Wayne Wostradowski, on Saturday March 4, 2023.  Garry passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family.  Garry was born in Avonlea SK on February 6, 1944.  He was predeceased by his parents, John and Grace Wostradowski; and his brother Ron Wostradowski.  Garry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marilyn; children, Kim (Curt), Marnie (Randy) Blondeau; grandchildren Tyler, Brandon, and Erin; sisters, Fran (Terry) Aikens and Wendie (Al) Templeton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Garry moved to Calgary in 1966, where he met is his wife and raised their two daughters.  He retired from AMEC after 40 years, and moved to Kimberley, BC in 2006.  Garry enjoyed curling, loved playing golf, and enjoyed doing anything outdoors.  He often described Kimberley as paradise and left many wonderful memories.  We love you Garry and will miss you always.  In keeping with Garry’s wishes, a private service will be held.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Garry’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society https://cancer.ca/en/ and click on Donate, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation https://www.heartandstroke.ca/ and click on Donate .
