Mrs Lowden was a customer of my picture framing shop for many years. Being respectful I always referred to her as Mrs. Lowden, it was only after several months that she told me I could call her Charmaine, what an honour it was. I had so much respect for this delightful lady as she was a lady through and through. Rest in peace sweet lady, peace you have truly earned.

Dear Lowden Family,
I am sending you my deepest condolences in the passing of Charmaine. I praise God for the time we had together in the 11 years I lived in Cranbrook.
We shared many happy times together, attending First Baptist church, Ladies Bible Study, and as deacons. I so appreciated her friendship and encouragement.
As I said to Charmaine when I left Cranbrook, "This is not good-bye." We will see one another in Heaven.

I am thinking about all of you today as you celebrate the life of a wonderful woman. I have such happy memories of Mrs. Lowden from my teen years when she always had great snacks and a listening ear when Launny and I were in the midst of adolescent angst. Their home was always welcoming and full of love and I felt that love every time I was there.

Charmaine was a leader in the Ladies Bible Study when I started coming to the First Baptist Church. She led with wisdom and grace, and had a gentle way of encouraging others to participate in the discussions. As time went by, in other ladies study groups, I discovered that Charmaine had a very witty side. She would surprise us with such a funny comment that would have the whole group laughing. It was always in good taste and always appreciated. She would brighten our day. Even while she was in the hospital after her accident, Charmaine blessed me with her beautiful smile. I do feel blessed to have known her. I am sorry for your loss.

Charmaine was my dinner mate at Joseph Creek Independent living. She hid her light under a bushel, as Charmaine did not talk about her exemplary and illustrative life. Charmaine was a gracious, humble lady. May, She Rest In Peace with the Lord. S.R.

We remember Charmaine as a lovely, eloquent lady who cared deeply for people. She wrote beautiful, meaningful Scripture passages in the cards she gave to friends. Her prayers were deeply devotional, as she conversed with God. We have the memory of Charmaine and Arnold walking to and from First Baptist Church on Sunday mornings.
