Obituary of Niels Carl Christensen

Niels Carl Christensen,

Born October 3 1940 to Joyce and Soren Christensen in Lethbridge AB. He had a happy childhood and was quite the fearless child. He had many fulfilling careers throughout his life. Work and life took him all over Canada and into the USA. The best pie he would tell us was in Church Hill Mb where he met Thelma all it took was one slice of her apple pie and they were together since. He had a love of music, mechanics, and westrens but his greatest loves in his life was his family. He passed peacefully in the early hours of March 25 2023 in the F.W. Green home in Cranbrook BC. He is predeceased by his parents elder sister Marjorie, his beloved wife Thelma, and two sons Soren and Niels. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings Don, Debbie. His children Lennora and Curt. Grandchildren Cohen, Lincoln, Victoria, Johnathen, Vincent, Ashleigh, Jerome, Mathew, Taylor, Niels, Soren, Jacob, Josh And Great Grandchildren Victoria and Landon.

Our Grandfather kept a garden,
A garden of the heart;
He planted all the good things,
That gave our lives their start.
He turned us to the sunshine,
And encouraged us to dream:
Fostering and nurturing the seeds of self-esteem.
And then the winds and rain came,
He protected us enough;
But not too much because he knew
We would stand up strong and tough.
His constant good example,
Always taught us right from wrong
Markers for our pathway that will last
a lifetime long.
We are our Grandfather’s garden,
We are his legacy.
