Blaire would just like to say "Goodbye"

to all his family and friends.

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Blaire Leo Leavitt announces his passing on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Kimberley, British Columbia at 85 years of age.

Blaire was born on June 14, 1924 in Cardston, Alberta. He was in WWII serving in Holland with the Canadian Scottish Regiment. Blaire and Helen moved to Kimberley after Blaire finished his service in WWII. He worked for 35 years at Cominco underground as a Timberman. He loved camping, fishing, bowling and card games. He especially loved the time spent with his family and friends.

Blaire is survived by his children: David (Debbie), Shirley, Donald (Marjorie), Beth (Tom), Barbara (Jim), Tim (Elaine), Gail (Matt); 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Helen, infant son Darryl, his parents Leo and Louise, and 2 brothers Andy and Ross.

A memorial service for Blaire will be announced at a later date. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Blaire may do so to the: Alzheimer Society of B.C., #300 - 828 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V5Z 1E2.

The family would like to thank Dr. Nash and the staff and support groups who helped our dad during his stay at the Pines the last few years.
