We send loving thoughts to Arline and all the family as we look back on the rich and challenging life of our dear friend, Angus - the life which has blessed and no doubt at times challenged all. We heard many stories, oft-repeated and full of laughter and adventure, over the years. May the Lord of peace be with each of us. -

I met Angus & Arline in the "return to Cranbrook" chapters of their life. They always greeted me in the streets with huge smiles. I sometimes wondered if they ACTUALLY recognized me, or if they were just extremely good at making everyone feel seen. I think maybe both. <3
Through his political and volunteer "careers" in Cranbrook, we crossed paths often. I so greatly admire their contribution, and am blessed to have known them both.
Love to the family. Thank you for sharing "your people" with the rest of us.

So sad to learn of Angus's passing. While working for the City of Cranbrook I had many discussions with Angus as Councillor. Always respected the fact that he had seen both sides of the table - as Mayor in Fraser Lake and as Administrator in Fraser Lake ... as the story goes ... Great sense of humour, will be missed. Sincere condolences to Arline and family. Sincerely Roy Hales and Kim Dick

Dear Arline:
The best part of a shopping day would be to meet up with you and Angus and get caught-up, so to speak, with the latest activities. We were never at a loss for words!
And, yes, Angus always had a "story" to tell - whether it was something current or from your Fraser Lake days. And, as my family and I spent some time in the north country - Fraser Lake wasn't foreign to me.
Arline, my thoughts are with you and your dear family.
Sincerely, Marnie Peet

I met Angus and Arline when I was 18, they are both beautiful people. My heart goes out to the family.
I lived in Fraser Lake for 24 years, and when I moved to Cranbrook and ran into them in a restaurant, it was so nice to have a friend. Every year I would meet them somewhere in Cranbrook. We always asked about our kids and give each other a hug until the next time we met.. I will miss yous.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Angus. I always enjoyed his "chats" on the street. He was so very complimentary when he felt you did something special to support Cranbrook, the community we both loved. His love for his dear wife, Arline was a joy to see. A roll model for many I am sure. He will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to Arline, his family and many friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Angus Davis' passing. I'll always remember his cheerful demeanour. We sat next to each other in City Council chambers in Cranbrook, serving our community as Councillors. He liked to chat. Sometimes we would disagree on an agenda item, then simply agree to disagree. Yet our differences never got in the way of my respect for him. Arline was the love of his life. They were wonderful to observe when they were together. He will be dearly missed. My sincere condolences to Arline and the family.
