It is with great sadness that the family of Albert Kutzner announce his passing on Oct 1, 2023, at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital. Al was born October 20, 1939, in Beristowitz, Ukraine. He came to Canada in 1953 immigrating to Winnipeg with his father and two sisters. Al finished his pipefitter apprenticeship with CPR, then moved to Vancouver where he met Regine. Al and Regine married in 1962 and moved to Cranbrook six years later to open a steel construction business called Long Valley Steel Ltd.
