In Loving Memory of

Bonnie Curtis

August 1, 1967 — September 10, 2023

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Marie Curtis, age 56 who passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay, Ontario on Sunday September 10, 2023.

Bonnie was born in Atikokan, Ontario on August 1st, 1967 to Charles and Gloria Curtis. Charles died when Bonnie was a toddler. Gloria was then remarried to Paul Tutaluk. Bonnie was the youngest of 5 siblings and she has many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Bonnie spent her career working as a care-aid. She loved helping and caring for seniors. She worked at home support and Josheph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook, British Columbia for more than 20 years. She then returned to Nova Scotia with her Mom after her Dad’s passing and continued to work in another care facility for a few years.

Bonnie then retired and moved to Costa Rica for less than a year before deciding to move back to Ontario where she was raised.

Bonnie taught herself piano and she was amazing. You always knew when Bonnie was working, the music made the seniors smile and they truly loved the gifts she was blessed to share with them. She loved to sketch birds, mountains, and scenery. She impersonated Donald Duck and sounds of birds to just to make you laugh. There was never a dull moment, and she was a one-of-a-kind, loyal friend. She enjoyed crochet, tapping on bongos, caring for house animals, and stray ones too.

Her life was ended far too soon, when she had a lot to offer the world.

At this time there will not be a service held.

Please consider making a donation to Pulmonary Fibrosis in Bonnie’s name.
