Obituary of James Gregg

October 21, 1920 - March 02, 2011

Jim "Pops" passed away peacefully with family by his side at East Kootenay Regional Hospital and has gone to be with the Lord.

He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1984. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his brother Richard, sister-in-law Lenore; son Peter (Carolyn), daughter Margaret (Fred); numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren Michael, Leisa (Darcy), Jennifer (Jason), Kevin (Andrea), Alyson (Jeff) and great grandchildren Matthew, Joshua, Bronwen, Caleb, Adeline, Brandon, Elijah, and Conner. Jim was also predeceased by parents, father William Oscar, mother Agnes, and step-father William Onias; brothers Gerald, John, William, Norman, and sister Gertrude. Funeral service to be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kimberley Fellowship Baptist Church, 395 - Marsden St., Kimberley, British Columbia. Internment will take place in Kimberley at a later date.

The family would like to send special thanks to Drs. Van Zyl, Vanrietschoten and Rolandi and the nurses for their compassionate care. Cremation arrangements made by McPherson Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of James may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon Okanagan/Kootenay Area, 4-1551 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, British Columbia, V1Y 9M9.
