It is with great sadness the family of Dwayne Robinson announces his passing on October 18, 2023.

Dwayne was born in Atikokan, Ontario on November 23, 1963 to Monique (Lapointe) and William Robinson. Left to cherish his memory are his children Shelby (Mel) Brandon, Kristen, Ashley, Amber and Adam. Dwayne’s greatest joy was his grandson Keedyn. Also surviving are his sisters, Tess (Charlie Rounds), Tracy, (Dwayne DeGagne) and Bill Robinson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Dwayne was predeceased by his mother Monique and stepfather Jim Adams.

Dwayne moved out to the mountains of Cranbrook in 1994. He worked in roofing construction. He was known as Red Beard in the mountain community. Dwayne had a strong passion and love of nature. He delighted in fly-fishing in his dingy, hunting, searching for fossils, carving wood walking sticks and finding every imaginable natural treasure. He enjoyed the Kooteney Ice Dog games with his grandson. Dwayne had a green thumb for growing plants of many sorts. He collected so many treasures he found while spending time in the great outdoors.

Being a man of no fixed address, we would like to thank the homeless shelter and any members of the community that were kind to Dwayne. Always remember compassion and empathy matters, if you see someone struggling please remember that they are someone’s everything.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
