Brenda Gail Matson was born March 18, 1970 in the Cranbrook Hospital. She faced many challenges growing up mastering her first steps at the age of 4, at the Juniper Day School in Cranbrook, where she attended until her early teens. After leaving the school Brenda stayed home with her parents and this is when many of her adventures with her papa (dad) began. They were seen driving all over Cranbrook, trips to Yahk to visit family, or just running errands around town. If the wheels were turning and music was playing, Brenda was in her happy place.

Brenda known affectionally by many names, “Matson”, “Mabel”, “Kiddo”, “Baby goat” and “my little Goober” by her mom. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Brenda had an infectious laugh and could make even the grumpiest of people smile. She was a music lover of almost every type from heavy metal, country, rap and Native American drums would always make her smile, everything was Ok except for anything that was deemed sad could make her cry.

Brenda had a very close bond with her special friends and sidekicks Leslie, Brianna, Shawna, Lisa, Barb, Christine, Lindsay, Marisol, Carmen, Jenna and Kelly, could always bring a goofy smile upon her face. The funnier they were the harder Brenda would laugh with everything she had until her face turned red from sheer joy.

Brenda helped her sidekicks with many tasks from planting veggies and flowers, to doing a bit of baking and even some laundry on occasion. Every task she was given, was a fun experience and met with many laughs by all observing and especially those participating.

Brenda is Survived by her sisters Sylvia & Diana (Jerry), Nephew Justin, Niece Reese, Uncles Ted, & Paul (Diana), numerous cousins as well as her devoted family Carla (Mark), Melanie (Chris), and Ken (Delphine)

Brenda was predeceased by her parents Melvin & Sonja Matson, brother Robert, Grandparents Hendry & Mima Matson, Trygve & Thea Kjenstad, Loving Aunts June (Frank), Darlene, & Karen, and Uncles Martin & Thom.
