Obituary of Wade Joseph Jensen

Please share a memory of Wade to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wade Joseph Jensen on November 13, 2023 at the young age of 43.

Wade was born in Cranbrook BC on August 7th, 1980. Growing up in Cranbrook, Wade played all sports but spent most of his time at the hockey rink, he made many memories and lifelong friendships playing the game that became his passion before he could walk. One of his dearest memories was winning the 1996 BC Bantam Provincial Championship and wearing that coveted red and white leather hockey jacket.

Wade had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone and never asked questions or anything in return. He was larger than life and louder than anyone else in the room. If you ever had the pleasure of watching sports with Wade you were in for quite the show! He never waivered in his loud and proud support of his favourite teams - the Canucks and the Patriots – even when he was cheering on his own. Sunderdays will never be the same!

Wade had a great love for cooking, he fed us all some exceptional meals over the years and always grilled the perfect steak. He spent a lifetime of loving the outdoors and could often be found up Gold Creek camping, fishing or hunting. But his greatest joy was being a father. He loved and adored his daughters more than anything. Wade was a family man and he never missed an opportunity to say I love you, and he meant it. His smile filled his whole face and his laugh would fill a room or three!

Wade is survived by his oldest daughter Skye and his youngest daughter Khloe, his parents Larry and Sherry, sister Lindsay, brother in law Marquis and nephews Kayson and Kylen and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Wade also leaves to mourn a lifetime of friends and brothers.

Wade was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his uncle Chris, uncle Gordon, auntie Gail, his cherished Ever and his best friend Rosco who we are sure was waiting for him with tail wagging!

We will always remember Wade and will carry him in our hearts until we see him again.

There was a private family service held for Wade.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 30, 2024, at the Eagles Hall. 715 Kootenay St N Cranbrook BC, from 3pm - 5pm. Please wear a team jersey, preferably Canucks or Patriots, to the celebration of life.
