Obituary of Elaine Clark
Please share a memory of Elaine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Elaine on January 2, 2024 with her family by her side.
Later in life, Elaine battled with dementia, but the disease never diminished her sense of humour.
She was born February 25, 1935 in Readlyn, Saskatchewan. She married her love Dr Robert Clark in 1965. Elaine is survived by her husband Bob, her two daughters Lorelei and Roberta, and her grandson Jesse.
A teacher by profession, once Elaine had a family she dedicated her time to raising her 2 daughters and supporting Bob with his Veterinary practice. Elaine loved cats! So much so that she used this passion and her entrepreneurial spirit to found and operate the Kit-Inn cat boarding business from 1985-2020.
Elaine enjoyed her hobbies; gardening, sewing, cross country skiing, interior decorating and loved to socialize. She was a creative and adventurous cook and baker.
Elaine will be fondly remembered for her spontaneous nature and great sense of humour. She loved pranks and practical jokes, and found it hilarious even when it was her that messed up the punch line.
An informal gathering in celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at McPherson’s reception hall in Cranbrook on Friday January 12, 2024 between 2pm and 5pm. Please feel free to come and go, and bring a joke or a memory of Elaine to share.
“Your memory will never leave us and live long in our hearts.”
