It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Inga Anderson with family at her side on January 14, 2024.

She was born on July 19, 1925 in Bottrop, Germany to Erich and Augusta Konopka. Her family immigrated from Germany in 1932 and settled in the Meadowview, Alberta area. She left home at the age of 16 and moved to Edmonton during the war and from there moved to Ocean Falls, BC where she met the love of her life, Harold. They married in 1949 and together they moved to Vancouver and started their family.

She was predeceased by her husband Harold, her granddaughter Jennifer, 2 sisters, Helga and Ruth and brother Gunther.

Inga leaves to mourn her passing her children Joyce (Wayne), Raymond (Janet), Lori (Wayne) and John (Robyn). Her grandchildren Joanne (Kevin), Susan (Jamie), Craig (Lisa), Brad (Mattison), Treychel (Chris), Erik (Frida) and Rachel. Also, great-grandchildren Layne, Daniel, Sam, Dallas, Caitlyn, Danica, Emma and Jase. As well as her sister Ann and brother Werner and many nephews and nieces.

She came to live in Cranbrook 8 years ago and along the way met many wonderful people she was proud to call friends. Always putting on a happy face for everyone she knew and ready to discuss how to solve the world’s problems.

By her request there will be no funeral but there will be a Celebration of Life on March 31st, 2024 at 1:00pm held at McPherson Funeral Services in Cranbrook, B.C.

Rest in peace mom, we all love and miss you already.
