Obituary of William Robert McWhirter

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William Robert (Bob) McWhirter on January 31, 2024.

Born in High River, Alberta on October 10, 1947 to Ed and Edith McWhirter. Bob was the 3^rd of 4 children.  The family moved to Marysville in 1952 where Bob graduated. He met the love of his life, Ruth Collins.  They married on  Nov 8, 1969    and raised their two boys in Cranbrook. 

Bob is survived by his sons Jason (Kate) and Jonathan (Alissa); his 5 special grandchildren, Brianna, Faith, Abbey, Matthew and Nathan; his close cousin Pam (Peter) Sallaway and numerous other nieces and nephews and their families.

Predeceased by his parents, his wife Ruth, and his siblings Jim McWhirter, Elsie Starchuk and Stephen McWhirter.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 3^rd at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church in Cranbrook.
