Obituary of Tiny Bowe

 

It is with heavy hearts and many fond memories that we announce that our Mother passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024 at the age of 85.

 

She was a wonderful mother and grandma who was well loved, such a joy to be around and will be missed terribly. She loved raising her kids and her family was always number one to her. Mom had a great sense of humour and was laughing up to the end.

 

Tiny was born and grew up in Vancouver, BC where she met and married the love of her life, Mel Bowe.   They then moved to Cranbrook in 1967 to raise their family.  Many Cranbrook residents will remember her smiling face at Peoples Jewellers where she helped customers for many years- a job that she loved. 

After retiring she thoroughly enjoyed looking after her twin grandchildren, Wayne and Sierra, until they grew too strong and she couldn't wrestle out of the headlocks any longer.

 

Mom is survived by her loving children, Lenny (Carla), Brad (Kerry), Wendy and Pamela (Dean), grandchildren, Ryan (Nicole), Jarod (Sarah), Jadi (Sean), Wayne and Sierra, great grandchildren, Gage, Praya and Bowe, siblings Audrey, Dale, Harry (Glenda), Helen and Vera, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Tiny was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Ravilla McDiarmid, husband Mel, brother Don, sister Barb, brother-in-law Earl, nephews Darcy, Scott and great niece Kailey.

 

There will be no funeral service as per Tiny’s wishes.

 

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the second and third floor team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital as well as the wonderful staff at Joseph Creek Village and the Green Home.
