Brian Michael Taylor passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024 at the age of 73 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones, after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born in Fredericton NB on June 29, 1950 to Frances & Melvin Taylor.  He was the second oldest of 5 children.  Brian went to school in Fredericton and followed in his father’s footsteps and started his career in building mobile homes, then onto window and door installations.  In the late 80’s he decided to venture out west with Beth, the love of his life, to Edmonton to start a new chapter in their lives. That is where they got married and he continued his passion for cooking and worked in the restaurant industry for a couple of years before relocating to Cranbrook where they settled down and he began the last 34 years of his life working for McPhersons Funeral Services as a Funeral Director.  He travelled across the east Kootenays for all the families that needed their assistance.  He was never one to say no when it came to calls anytime of the day or night.  He touched many people in the community and was loved by many.

In his younger years before moving out west, Brian used to race stock cars at the local track, play league darts & won many trophies, and was a member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles for many years, He loved to watch sports with his favorite teams being the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs. He also enjoyed reading novels & travelling, even if it was for a nice drive in the mountains.
