Back in 1994 I had left the company I was working for and was looking for work or to start a business. Bill looked after my yard with the spraying for weeds. I mentioned to Bill that if he needed a hand at some time to give me a call, his reply was I will pick you up tomorrow morning. Bill was having difficulty finding a reliable person to work with him doing the aerating and power raking and as I had managed a business for a number of years I would understand. We worked together for a month and I got to know Bill well. Bill then told me that he needed to start spraying and thru me the keys to the truck and gave me a list of customers. In the fall Bill and I sat down and he told me he no longer had time to do the aerating and power raking and would I be interested in buying that part of the business. Bill said he would suggest to his customers to give me a call for the aerating and power raking and possibly some lawn cutting, and that is how Metcalf Lawn Care started. Bill and I sat down a number of times discussing our customers and had many a good conversations, we always were on the same page.
I will miss seeing Bill at the hockey games, there was always a few minutes to say hi and whats new.
