Obituary of Doreen Gertrude Poirier

Doreen Gertrude Poirier passed away at 68 years of age in Cranbrook, BC, on March 25^th, 2024, after a battle with cancer.

Known for her passion for baking and golf during the summer, Doreen will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed getting outside any chance she could and would frequently go for walks, hikes, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. Doreen also enjoyed camping, horseback riding, and gardening.

Doreen was predeceased by her husband, Roger Taillon, and her father, Mariel Soucy. She is survived by her daughter Angele Romero (Rex), her mother, Rita Soucy, her sister Evelyn Proulx (Richard), and her brothers Henry Soucy (Sandy), Art Soucy (Brenda), Roland Soucy (Claire), and Armand Soucy (Doris), and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in Girouxville, Alberta, at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church on Saturday, May 11^th, at 1:30 pm.
