My friend Kelly and her Mother used to work for Dick when he had his shop on Baker St. He was so very good to all of us when we would come and hang out in the shop. He used to lend us girls vehicles on many occasion for our many roadtrips. Sending condolences to his family and many friends.

Dick was a giving person and the first badminton friend I made back in the 1980's, when Roger Kerby brought me to my first Cranbrook Tournament. Our Nelson Club will cherish the good memories and fun times we shared with Dick over the many years we've known him. He will always be remembered for his generosity and kind spirit. May God bless Dick for the blessing he was to all of us.
From Kathy Letham and the Nelson Badminton Club

My condolences to Dicks family. I enjoyed many hours playing with and against Dick in the badminton club and various tournaments. In the early days of my badminton career he taught me many things about the game

My condolences to Dick's family on his passing. I first met him at the Mt. Baker tennis courts back in the sixties. I never beat him but enjoyed his company. He engraved many trophies for organizations I belonged to over the years. He also engraved little plaques for our dogs. His work was top notch. Real nice man. Rest in Peace Dick.

I am sad to read of Dick's passing. I used his skill in creating the perfect trophy on many occasions. I enjoyed his commitment to perfection and his great, positive attitude in business. He will be greatly missed. RIP Dick

Dick was always so dedicated to making his trophy and engravings as perfect as possible. He met you with a smile and shared stories about your mutual interests. He was an incredible badminton player and you always worried when he was your opponent. You will be missed.
