It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Douglas Lorne Brenton “Buggsy” on April 24, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Doug was born on April 28, 1954 to Mary Elizabeth “Betty” and Basil Douglas “Bud” Brenton. Doug was an avid sports enthusiast, playing hockey, fastball, and golf and was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Red Wings and LA Dodgers.

Doug leaves behind a host of lifelong friends too numerous to name and will be sadly missed by all.

A Celebration of Life in Doug’s memory will be held at the Kimberley Elks Club on Saturday May 4, 2024 at 6:30 pm.

Memorial donations in Doug’s honour may be made to Angel Flight East Kootenay and the Kimberley Elks Club.
