Catherine, nicknamed ‘Katie’ to her beloved husband, met Ernie at the St. Eugene hospital in Cranbrook where she was a student nurse. They married on Jan. 2, 1952, in northern Alberta. Shortly after, the young newlyweds returned to Cranbrook where they built their home and began their family.

Caring for our mother in her final days was an honour and privilege shared by all her children who travelled back to their family home. We would also like to thank Dr Brown and all the staff at the Green Clinic. Cranbrook Home Health for their help and TLC, especially back and foot rubs. We would also like to thank the palliative care team Sue, Stephanie, Justin and Shannon for guidance and care during her final days.

Prayers will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Christ the Servant Church. The funeral mass will be held Monday, June 3, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow at Christ the Servant Church, located at 1100-14th Ave S, Cranbrook, B.C.
