Obituary of Robert James Beller
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bob was born in Alberta and married to his beloved wife Vera for 66 years. Growing up on a farm, he learned the true value of hard work which he carried forward through the days of operating his own oilfield construction company to later farming in Grasmere. He was known for his active community involvement and always willing to lend a supportive hand to those in need. Many will remember Bob sharing a pot of coffee where he spent countless hours telling stories and sharing wisdom.
A devoted member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, Bob was unwavering in his faith. Bob and Vera eventually downsized to Kootenay Street Village where they continued sharing coffee, stories, laughter, and card games.
Bob was a true giver of his time, resources and knowledge. His family was his pride and joy, and he made sure everyone knew it. Bob passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and community spirit. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched, reminding us to cherish each moment and to give generously of ourselves, just as Bob did.
Bob is survived by his wife Vera, sons Ken (Barb), Barry (Terri), Albert (Linda), daughters Kathy (Alan) and Shelley (Mike), 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and his sister Kay.
Bob was predeceased by his brother Phil, sister Lura, daughter Colleen, and grandson Jordan.
A service will take place on August 17, 2024 at 10:30am, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
