Obituary of Sharon Kostiuk

Please share a memory of Sharon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend Sheri.

Sheri was born December 9, 1961 in Lethbridge, Alberta.  She grew up in Cranbrook where she made many friends over the years.   She had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need.  She was a giver, not a taker.

Sheri had a deep faith and love for the Lord and spent her life trying to do what was right in her eyes and as well as in the Lord’s eyes.  She showed her faith in her daily actions, loving and caring for all those around her, not just her family and friends.

She loved to garden and spent many hours working tending to her vegetables and flowers.  Sheri had many cats and dogs over the years and cherished them all.  In recent years Sheri had become the main caregiver to her mother, Linda.  They loved to spend time together.

Sheri was a dedicated mother and loved her children very much.  She had two children Shaun and Shelsee, and welcomed with open arms her cousin Wanda raising her as her own, loving and treating her as a daughter.  Sheri also deeply loved her two sons-in-law David and Bob.

Family meant everything to Sheri, and she loved each and every member of her family.

Sheri was predeceased by her grandparents Hans and Margaret Brehm, George Kostiuk & Leona Cornelly.  Uncles Bim & Peter Brehm, Ken Scanland. Uncle and Aunt Myron and Roseanne Ballard.  Sister Kim Kostiuk.  Grandson Bo Cavelle.

Sheri leaves to mourn, her children Shelsee (Bob) Holbrook, Wanda (David) Cavelle & Shaun Kostiuk.  Granddaughter Jodi Cavelle.  Parents Linda and Brian Kostiuk. Siblings Ken (Toni) Kostiuk, Kevin Kostiuk & Karolyn (Dom) Fruncillo.  Aunts Joan Scanland, Jean Brehm, Delores Hicks and Uncle Kym Kostiuk.  Many cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.  Sheri will be missed immensely by her special friend Larry Lindsay.

A celebration of life will be announced in the future.
