Obituary of David Judson Berna
Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dave Berna, a man full of life and zest, left this world on June 28, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Born in Montreal on December 6, 1989 to Colleen Taylor and the late Lou Berna, Dave’s journey began with a spark that would ignite a passion for living life to the fullest.
Dave’s adventurous spirit led him from his hometown of Centreville, NB to Calgary, AB where he and his wife, Marci, built a life together filled with love and excitement. Their shared love for adventure became the cornerstone of their relationship, as they embarked on countless escapades that created bonds and memories to last a lifetime.
When he wasn’t busy growing his business, Klondike HD Repair, Dave could be found surrounded by family and friends on camping trips, off-road adventures, and travelling. There was never a dull moment with Dave, and he had a knack for turning even the simplest activities into unforgettable experiences.
Above all, Dave cherished his role as a husband and father. He was not only a hardworking and dedicated family man but also a constant source of joy and excitement for his wife, Marci and their two beautiful children, Axel and Piper. Dave’s love knew no bounds, and he poured his heart into creating a life filled with happiness and laughter for his loved ones.
Dave’s generosity extended far beyond his immediate family. He had a deep love for both his family and friends in New Brunswick, and his “chosen” family and friends in Alberta. Whether you needed a helping hand or a companion for an adventure, Dave was the person to call and he would readily lend his mechanic skills or offer his support to anyone in need.
Although Dave’s absence leaves an indescribable void in our lives, he would want nothing more than for those who knew and loved him to honour his memory by embracing life and every moment with open arms, just as he did.
A celebration of Dave’s remarkable life will be held in Alberta on August 25th. Additionally, a gathering will take place in New Brunswick on September 21st.
