I was so very fond of Karen and Dave. I always enjoyed their company when I visited with them. I taught with Karen at Jaffray during my first two years of teaching in 1976 and 77. "Is that the bell?" was heard almost every day at the end of lunch in the Jaffray school staff room. Karen, as usual, had spent most of her time working and discussing the needs of her students. I will always remember her passion and dedication.

My deepest condolences Pat and family. Karen was such a bright soul with the most beautiful smile. Meeting her a year ago and all the loss in her life, she managed to forge ahead with the love of her family and her beliefs. She was genuine, a lovely soul who touched many lives. I met Karen almost one year ago. Although I didn’t know her long I was amazed at her ability to smile despite all of the losses in her life. Her kindness was unwavering. Rest in peace my friend. My condolences to her family.
